Aimetis First to Offer 360-degree Panoramic Video Analytics with ImmerVision’s Panomorph Lens.
Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Thursday, May 17, 2007: ImmerVision, the expert
in 360-degree panoramic imaging technology and developer of the IMV1-1/3
Panomorph lens for video surveillance, announced today that
Aimetis Corp.,
provider of intelligent video software and services, has successfully certified
that AIRA 2005 SE, the leading Open IP-Surveillance software product, is
ImmerVision Enables. The ImmerVision Enables certification allows users
of AIRA software to leverage panoramic functionality, without any blind spots,
when using ImmerVision’s
IMV1 1/3 Panomorph lens with standard analog or network
cameras.
The IMV1-1/3 Panomorph lens is a major discovery for today’s
security/surveillance industry because it enables
panoramic functionality with
any standard analog and IP cameras thus making its implementation cost less
expensive than older panoramic technologies such as the fisheye and mirror
lenses.
“Aimetis distinguishes itself as an innovative market leader for both video
analytics and Open IP-Surveillance software,” said Alessandro Gasparini, Chief
Commercial Officer of ImmerVision. “End-users have been demanding more than just
analytics over a limited surveyed area, they want to see everything, anywhere at
anytime. With Aimetis ImmerVision Enables’ software and the IMV1-1/3 Panomorph
lens, video analytics can cover more area with a single camera than previously
possible,” he added.
“Aimetis is always looking at new technologies to deliver the best experience
possible for our customers," said Marc Holtenhoff, CEO of Aimetis. "We are
delighted to work with ImmerVision in the development of unique solutions to
further enhance our user’s ability to monitor video accurately and cost
effectively.”
Aimetis will host live demonstrations to show its ImmerVision Enables panoramic functionality combined with the IMV1-1/3 Panomorph lens, May 21 - 24, 2007, Booth 22199 at the IFSEC show in Birmingham, UK.
