DIRECTOR, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT COMMERCIAL AND PROFESSIONAL APPLICATIONS

Immervision enables intelligent vision in any device. We design wide-angle lenses with augmented resolution to see more, and AI-ready image processing to see smarter. This technology is for smart professional applications, consumer devices, automotive, robotics, medical, and other industries. You will be part of a team spirited company pursuing continuous innovation. Role and Responsibilities

  • Take part in the development of international business opportunities and participate in business development strategies;
  • Identify key business opportunities for lmmervision's core technology and drive the sales cycle to their closing;
  • Work with lmmervision business unit managers on strategies and key initiatives to drive lmmervision's growth;
  • Keep the Head of the Business Unit fully informed of important sales activities, opportunities and plans that could affect the corporate sales plans in all geographical territories;
  • Provide up-to-date sales reports, market information, product requirements and assist in the development of territorial business plans;
  • Present strategic business opportunities to the Head of the Business Unit;
  • Lead, assist, develop and deliver with the support of internal and external resources, client proposals and presentations;
  • Qualification of opportunities;
  • Interpret customer inquiries, requirements, attitudes, and assist in contract negotiations;
  • Address and evaluate business needs that is of commercial value while leveraging constrained resources;
  • Responsible for vertical market identification and specific commercial messaging required per vertical;
  • Responsible of establishing clear and productive communication paths between all internal departments;
  • Collect and analyze market data that will be used for product development, competitive knowledge and marketing messaging;
  • Travel as necessary for mandatory site visits and client liaison;
  • Manage multiple competing priorities effectively;
  • Actively participate in all aspects of the daily activities of lmmervision's business and growth.

Studies and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field;
  • Minimum 10 years of business development experience in the technology domain.

Skills and Competencies

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills (French and English), with an ability to speak effectively to business development leaders, executives, and engineers;
  • Detail-oriented and able to develop, execute, lead, and maintain complex projects, programs, and assignments;
  • Good understanding of emerging technologies and leading business trends;
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work among diverse corporate environments, industries and technical and non-technical audiences;
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with people across all levels and organizations internally and externally;
  • Capable of multitasking with rapidly changing priorities and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment;
  • Experience with CRM applications and project management;
  • Willingness to travel frequently.

Representative, Sales and Business Development

  

Overview

Job Responsibilities

 Prospect identification and business development activities including first contact with target client lists, via phone and email;

  • Evaluate customer project and provide solutions in alignment with customer-defined performance, timeline, and price parameters;
  • Understand and position Immervision’s unique benefits to customers;
  • Handling of requests for information or requests for proposal and quotation;
  • Perform cost/benefit and needs analysis of existing and potential customers;
  • Provide technical information and support in a timely manner;
  • Prioritize and organize the lead pipeline for maximum efficiency on a daily basis;
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships;
  • Build and cultivate prospect relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up communications in order to move opportunities to Sales Qualified Leads;
  • Keep records of all communications and sale cycles progress in Dynamics CRM;
  • Work with internal departments to ensure the company business objectives are being met;
  • Remain knowledgeable of current market conditions, competitor activities, and industry

Qualification

 Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; a technical background is an asset;

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in sales and business development of advanced technologies in the field of imaging and vision;
  • Fluency in English is mandatory with good communication capability in Additional Chinese, Japanese or Korean language proficiencies is an advantage;
  • Excellent communication (oral & written), interpersonal, organization and presentation skills;
  • Capable of learning quickly and working independently, while embracing a team attitude;
  • Strong problem-solving skills;
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to succeed in a fast-paced environment.

SENIOR LENS DESIGNER

Immervision is the panoramic imaging leader and offers its panomorph technology to any industry. As part of our dynamic and creative R&D team in Montreal, you will have an impact on optical design and manufacturing highly advanced optical systems.

Your role includes:

  • Undertake preliminary and detailed optical design and analysis;
  • Generate complete tolerance set to support prototyping and mass production;
  • Develop assembly and test strategies;
  • Troubleshoot if required;
  • Involvement in R&D of optical & opto-mechanical technologies to develop customized panomorph lens solutions for mass production.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate (PhD) degree in optics or equivalent;
  • 3-5 years of experience in lens design using well known optical design software (or equivalent, senior lens designers are welcome);
  • 3 years of experience in wide angle lens design including distortion and anamorphosis control;
  • A good understanding of optical mounting and assembly practices;
  • Experience in optical design for mass production;
  • A working knowledge of glass molding and engineering polymers is desirable.
  • Good knowledge in Zemax software;
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills (traveling 15%)
  • English required;
  • One of the following languages will be an asset: Chinese, Korean or Japanese.

SENIOR ALGORITHM/SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

Immervision is the panoramic imaging leader and offers its panomorph technology to any industry. This position presents a unique opportunity to collaborate with the various R&D teams in different industries (mobile device manufacturers, camera and photography industry, automobile, security and defense). You will work with a highly skilled and multidisciplinary (Image/video processing, optical design) R&D team and will take on multiple creative and challenging international R&D projects. This position is based in our Montreal downtown office.

Skills and competencies:

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong background in C/C++
  • Asset: Knowledge in MacOS, UNIX/Linux or embedded platform programming (E.G: GUI, Driver, etc.)
  • Asset: Knowledge in image processing or 3D engine algorithms.

As a Senior Android Camera System Developer, you will work with a group of talented and experienced developers, designers, and marketing specialists to deliver solutions to top-tier global brands and SOC partners. You will help and support the engineering team on a continuous basis, to quickly deliver various projects while furthering our aim to revolutionize the way we communicate with each other. In this role, you will work with some of the best-known consumer electronic brands in the world. You’ll contribute in developing cutting edge technology and help to the successful launch of major consumer devices.
