Reporting to the Vice President, Global Sales and Business Development, the Manager, Sales and Business Development, JOYCE will connect with potential customers to position JOYCE, Immervision’s robot platform for developing innovative computer vision solutions, and engage them to participate as technological and end-user sponsors.


Role and Responsibilities

At Immervision the Manager, Sales and Business Development, JOYCE will wear many different hats to win the hearts and minds of an eco-system of engineers, AI developers, as well as organizations that are looking to make an impact in the field of humanoid robots and computer vision. In this role, you’ll help foster and build networks with developers, devops, engineering managers, CTO’s and CEO’s of leading companies. You will work closely with our management, engineering, marketing, and product teams to help us present and position our technology and expertise while supporting our community in the most impactful way possible.

We want someone who can really understand the needs of our audience, serve them, and build a relationship. New and prospective customers and community members will depend on you to help them truly understand the value of what JOYCE can offer, and how they can harness it. This work will play a critical role in the broader success of the company as well as potentially lead to new design wins in markets we either currently serve or are interested in serving.

  • Identify key business opportunities for JOYCE, and drive the sales cycle to their closing;
  • Take part in the definition, planning and execution of JOYCE global sales strategies and business development;
  • Provide up-to-date sales reports, market information, product requirements and assist in the development of JOYCE specific business plans, offers and messaging;
  • Lead, assist, develop and deliver with the support of internal and external resources, client proposals and presentations;
  • Works with and supports strategic partners’ and contracted externals’ sales representatives in the pursue of new sales opportunities;
  • Interpret customer inquiries, requirements, attitudes, and negotiate contracts;
  • Evaluate customer project and provide solutions in alignment with customer-defined performance, timeline, and price parameters;
  • Understand and position Immervision’s technology and expertise unique benefits to customers;
  • Handle requests for information or requests for proposal and quotation;
  • Prioritize and organize the lead pipeline for maximum efficiency on a daily basis;
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships;
  • Build and cultivate prospect relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up communications in order to transform qualified leads into sales opportunities;
  • Keep records of all communications and sale cycles progress in Dynamics CRM;
  • Remain knowledgeable of current market conditions, competitor activities, and industry advances;
  • Work with internal departments to ensure the company business objectives are being met;
  • Actively participate in all aspects of the daily activities of lmmervision’s business;


Training and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (an asset) or business administration;
  • Minimum 10 years of sales and business development experience in the technology domain;
  • Experience in camera and image processing related product is an asset;
  • Good understanding of emerging technologies and leading business trends;
  • Experience with Dynamics CRM and Microsoft Office Suite;


Skills and Competencies

  • Fluency in English is mandatory with good communication capability in French. Additional Chinese, Japanese or Korean language proficiencies is an advantage;
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with an ability to speak effectively to sales leaders, executives, and engineers;
  • Detail-oriented and able to develop, execute, lead, and maintain complex projects, programs, and assignments;
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work among diverse corporate environments, industries and technical and non-technical audiences;
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with people across all levels and organizations internally and externally;
  • Capable of multitasking with rapidly changing priorities and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment;
  • Willingness to frequently travel internationally;
