Position Summary

Reporting to the Vice President, Global Sales and Business Development, the Manager, Sales and Business Development, Consumer Electronic Products will connect with OEMs and ODMs to position Immervision optical and image processing technologies and vision system design services in consumer electronic products.

 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Identify and drive design wins maximizing sales revenue from specific target accounts from a variety of consumer accounts – PC/Tablet, digital cameras, wearables, AR/VR and smart appliances;
  • Take part in the definition, planning and execution of international business development and sales strategies in key territories, e.g. US, Europe, Japan, Korea and China;
  • Identify key business opportunities for lmmervision’s core technology and services, and drive the sales cycle to their closing;
  • Take part in the definition, planning and execution of global sales strategies and business development;
  • Provide up-to-date bi-weekly sales reports, market information, product requirements and assist in the development of market specific business plans, offers and messaging;
  • Lead, assist, develop and deliver with the support of internal and external resources, client proposals and presentations;
  • Works with and supports strategic partners’ and contracted externals’ sales representatives in the pursue of new sales opportunities;
  • Interpret customer inquiries, requirements, attitudes, and negotiate contracts;
  • Evaluate customer project and provide solutions in alignment with customer-defined performance, timeline, and price parameters;
  • Understand and position Immervision’s technology and expertise unique benefits to customers;
  • Maintain and develop the corporate image and reputation, and protect and develop the company’s brands via suitable PR activities and intellectual property management;
  • Handle requests for information or requests for proposal and quotation;
  • Prioritize and organize the lead pipeline for maximum efficiency on a daily basis;
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships;
  • Build and cultivate prospect relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up communications in order to transform qualified leads into sales opportunities;
  • Keep records of all communications and sale cycles progress in Dynamics CRM;
  • Collaborate with Immervision’s marketing and engineering departments to help project management at key customers;
  • Remain knowledgeable of current market conditions, competitor activities, and industry advances;
  • Work with internal departments to ensure the company business objectives are being met;
  • Actively participate in all aspects of the daily activities of lmmervision’s business;

 

Training and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (an asset) or business administration;
  • Minimum 5 years experience selling to consumer electronics OEMs and ODMs like mobile, PC/Tablet, digital cameras, wearables, AR/VR and smart appliances;
  • Minimum 5 years experience selling and business development of technology;
  • Experience selling complex solutions with significant systems level and software level elements;
  • Knowledge of video and imaging technologies is an asset;
  • Experience in camera and image processing related product is an asset;
  • Sales and business development management experience including managing/developing strategic account relationships;
  • Good understanding of emerging technologies and leading business trends;
  • Experience and understanding of how to navigate large and complex customer organizations to gain access to key executives, engineering and purchasing decision makers;
  • Experience with Dynamics CRM and Microsoft Office Suite;

 

Skills and Competencies

  • Fluency in English and Mandarin is mandatory, French, Japanese or Korean language proficiencies is an advantage;
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with an ability to speak effectively to sales leaders, executives, and engineers;
  • Detail-oriented and able to develop, execute, lead, and maintain complex projects, programs, and assignments;
