Exterior automotive cameras for E-Mirror or surround view applications
Montreal, Canada – Immervision Inc. (“Immervision”), a leading specialist in the design of advanced vision systems today announced the signing of a contract for the design and development of a new automotive camera with VIA optronics AG (NYSE: VIAO) (“VIA”) a premier supplier of interactive display systems and solutions.
Immervision will work with VIA to develop a specialized lens technology to customize and produce exterior automotive cameras which can be brought to market quickly while reducing non-recurring engineering costs. The new technology for the next generation cameras will enhance VIA´s camera portfolio and help meet their growing customer demand for a variety of field of views (FOVs). These next generation cameras are expected to be used most frequently with e-mirror and surround view applications.
