Position Summary

Working under the responsibility of the President, the incumbent acts as the primary manager in his field of activity and is very involved in the establishment and execution of the company’s financial strategy.

The Vice-President will be responsible for implementing financial and commercial strategies. He will actively participate in the various negotiations.


In order to be successful in his role, the Vice-President of Finance will be responsible for modelling the projections and valuing the company, optimizing the fiscal impacts of the following spheres:

  • Deploy business acquisition strategies, analysis of financial/commercial contracts;
  • Actively participate in the negotiation strategy for future acquisitions;
  • Analyze the company’s financial performance and propose solutions to maintain and develop the profitability of operations;
  • Participate in the development of the organization’s overall strategies;
  • Strategic modeling of the company, in order to obtain a valuation of it;
  • Manage all financing and investment projects;
  • Develop and maintain excellent business ties with investors, financial institutions and financial and regulatory authorities;
  • Prepare the analyzes required for sound business management;
  • Establish the best tax strategies in order to develop the different markets (USA, Europe, Asia);
  • Work in collaboration with specialists
  • Liaise with auditors, banking institutions and other government representatives;
  • Participate in the analysis for future acquisitions and advise the company during due diligence;
  • Guide the accounting team in bookkeeping and the production of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, in accordance with accounting standards;
    Structure the operations of its sector in order to ensure the efficiency and performance of indicators and financial information mechanisms;

Knowledge, Skills, Experience, Academic Training

  • An undergraduate university education in accounting or finance as well as a recognized accounting designation;
  • A graduate university education in management (an asset)
  • A minimum of 15 to 20 years of experience in a technology company or in the sale of intellectual property;
  • Energetic and enthusiastic team player, who likes to discuss his ideas;
  • Has a great sense of initiative;
  • Is creative, enjoys getting out of the box and creating different models;
  • Excellent knowledge of business financing;
  • Excellent analytical and management skills;
  • Entrepreneurial temperament and strong propensity for action;
  • Excellent strategic skills combined with a developed practical sense;
  • Possess an extensive network of relationships with institutions and professionals;
  • Availability to travel 1 week per month;
  • Perfectly bilingual (English/French);
